My name is Peter Brook.
I am currently working as a software engineer at Vergence Labs.
In the past, I was an engineer at Facebook working on Site Integrity (preventing spammers from spamming the site) and Mobile Performance (making the Android app fast and enjoyable to use).
I got my degree in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Washington, where I spent much of my time thinking about how to make robots pick up objects without dropping them or otherwise acting foolish. My research interests focus around artificial intelligence and robotics, with an emphasis on robust grasp planning algorithms.
I also enjoy finding new projects which make computers do cool things. This site is an overview of my research and a record of those projects.
